Xenical Action Mechanism
Xenical is reversible inhibitor of gastrointestinal lipases and exerts its activity in lumen of stomach and small intestine by forming a bond with gastric and pancreatic lipases. Xenical thus, inactivates the enzymes that are unavailable to hydrolyze dietary fat and caloric deficit have positive effect on weight control.
The usual recommended dosage of Xenical is one 120-mg capsule taken three times a day with each main meal containing some fat (not more than 30% of total calories of that meal).
