Cytolog Action Mechanism
Prostaglandins are chemicals which protect the inner lining of stomach from ulcers caused by NSAIDs. Cytotec when given orally "replace" prostaglandins whose production was inhibited by NSAIDs and thus protect the lining of stomach from NSAID induced ulcers.
Cytolog Dosage
Consult your health care professional before taking Cytolog as its dosage depends upon your ability to tolerate and its effectiveness. The recommended oral dose of Cytotec (misoprostol) in adults is 200 mcg taken four times a day with food (a dose of 100 mcg can also be used, if this dosage is not tolerated).
Cytolog Precaution
Avoid Cytotec if you are allergic to its active or inactive components or if you smoke or drink.
Do not take Cytotec if you suffer from stomach/intestinal disease or risk factors associated with uterine rupture.
