Estrace is an oral medication used as estrogen hormone replacement in menopausal women. Estrace is used in treatment of several post menopausal conditions such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness and preventing osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Estrace is available in tablet form as three different strengths namely 0.50 mg, 1mg and 2 mg.

Estrace Action Mechanism
Estrace contain estradiol which enters cytoplasm and interacts with cytoplasmic target cell receptors (ERα and ERβ). Estrace enters nucleus of target cell and regulate gene transcription and translation to produce specific proteins that express effect of estradiol on target cell.
Take Estrace as recommended by your health care professional as its dosage depends upon your clinical condition and medical history. Usual Estrace dosage in adults suffering from moderate to severe menopausal symptoms is 1-2 mg per day with cyclic mode of administration (21 days on and 7 days off).
Avoid Estrace if you are alcoholic or smoker or consume illegal drugs as they may react with each other and cause serious health complications.
Do not take Estrace if you are pregnant or breast-feeding or suffer with hypotension or hypertension, liver or kidney diseases, blood clots, stroke and heart ailments.
